  • Dr. Xu Jiajun works as the professor, doctoral supervisor of the Department of Human Anatomy, Naval Medical University, and was honored with the "Silver Medal" of the Military Yucai Award. He is the vice president of Chinese Society of Anatomical Sciences (CSAS), the chairman of the Working Committee for Physical Survey of CSAS, the vice chairman of the Working Committee for Education and Continuing Education of CSAS, the vice chairman of the Working Committee for Publication and Management for Journals of CSAS, and the chief supervisor of Shanghai Society of Anatomical Sciences. He is also the chief-in-editor of Chinese Journal of Anatomy, editorial board member of Acta Anatomica Sinica, Chinese Journal of Neuroanatomy, Anatomy Research, and Progress of Anatomical Sciences.

    He has mainly been engaged in the research of nerve regeneration and Chinese physical survey, presided over one grant (973 sub-project) of Ministry of Science and Technology of China and four grants (general project) from National Natural Science Foundation of China, and participated in research of 16 National, Military, and Shanghai grants. His research work has suggested the repair effect of ciliary neurotrophic factor, basic fibroblast growth factor, Neuritin, Pim-1, Lnc-Pim1, neural stem cells from fair follicle, amniotic epithelial cells, extracellular vesicles of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells, hydrogen-rich saline, carbon monoxide, methane, vein tubulization, nerve suture on nerve injury and the related mechanism, and provided new anatomic basis for repairing peripheral nerve injury in clinic. He has won seven national invention patents, one each second prize, third prize and fourth prize of Military Science and Technology Progress, one prize of Naval Teaching Achievement. He has edited 4 textbooks as chief-in-editor, one of which was Nationally Planned Textbook and the another of which was Naval Excellent Textbook, 10 textbooks and monographs as vice chief-in-editor, 29 textbooks and monographs as editor.
