Qin Hu,MD & Ph. D, associate professor in the department of neurosurgery, Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.
Dr. Hu got her Ph. D degree from Peking University Health Science Center in 2010 and received postdoctoral training in Dr. John H Zhang’s neuroscience lab from 2012 to 2015. Her research interests focus on the role of mitochondrial and metabolic alterations in neuronal cell death and neurovascular unit impairment following stroke. Dr. Hu has published about 30 peer-reviewed scientific papers as first or corresponding author in well-known international academic journals, such as Nature Communications, Stroke, and Journal of Cerebral Blood Flow & Metabolism etc.
Dr. Hu is currently serving as an editorial board member of Translational Stroke Research, and youth editorial board member of Aging & Disease. She has guest-edited a number of special issues covering hot topics on stroke such as neuroprotection and neuroinflammation. Dr. Hu has awarded several grants from National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shanghai Natural Science Foundation, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
