Biosketch:
Dr. Zhang graduated from Peking University Health Science Center in 1992, and was an Associate Professor and Postgraduate Tutor at Peking Union Medical College. Dr. Zhang was a Postdoctoral Associate and Research Professor at Indiana University from 2001 to 2014. Dr. Zhang was appointed as professor and Chair of the Department of Human Anatomy, Histology & Embryology in the School of Basic Medical School, Tianjin Medical University from 2013. Dr. Zhang compiled 10 national textbooks including People's Medical Publishing House 8-year ? Systematic Anatomy ? Associate Editor, Peking University Medical Press ?Systematic Anatomy ? Associate Editor, Science Press ?Systematic Anatomy? Associate Editor, People's Medical Publishing House 5-year ?Systematic Anatomy? Editorial Board, People's Medical Publishing House ?Introduction to Basic Medicine in Biomedical Engineering? Editorial board. Dr. Zhang is an Editors of 9 Journal including “Journal of Orthopaedic Translation”. He is currently the leader of the national English-taught brand course "Human Anatomy" for overseas students, leader of the first-class undergraduate construction course of "Systematic Anatomy" in Tianjin. Dr. Zhang’s research focused on the stem cell and organ repair, he undertook more than 20 projects including the National Natural Science Foundation. Dr. Zhang published more than 160 research papers, and authorized 8 national patents. He is the vice president of Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine of International Chinese Musculoskeletal Research Society (ICMRS), the vice president of Tianjin Anatomy Society, and the vice president of Tianjin Stereology Society.
