Biosketch:
Chunmei Fan graduated from Central South University in 2021. After two years (2019-2021) of Ph.D joint training at Baylor College of Medicine in the United States, Dr. Fan joined the School of Basic Medicine of Central South University as a lecturer, and in 2023, she was promoted to associate professor. Dr. Fan was awarded the 8th Young Talents Promotion Project of China Association for Science and Technology, and the medical young backbone talents of Hunan Provincial Health Committee, and funded by Youth Fund of National Natural Science Foundation, Hunan Natural Science Foundation, and Changsha Natural Science Fund. Dr. Fan published 14 SCI papers as the first/corresponding author, 6 of them with IF>10, including 4 papers with high ESI citation. Representative papers have been published in Mol Cancer, Seminars in Cancer Biology, BBA reviews on Cancer, Sci China Life Sci, Cancer Letters. Dr. Fan won the second prize of Natural Science of Hunan Province (ranked 4th), the first prize of Medical Science and Technology Award of Hunan Province (ranked 2nd), and the excellent doctoral dissertation of Hunan Province. Dr. Fan's research focused on the pathogenesis and intervention of malignant tumors. Dr. Fan is a member of the Youth Committee of the Chinese Anatomical Society, Viral Oncology Committee of the Chinese Society of Research Hospitals, tumor committee of the Hunan Pathophysiological Society, tumor metabolism committee of the Hunan Anti-cancer Association, and tumor markers committee of the Hunan Anti-cancer Association.
