Yuchun Tang, M.D., Ph.D., visiting scholar of UCLA, postdoc & Research Associate of the Mark and Mary Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute, University of Southern California. He is currently a full professor, doctoral supervisor, Deputy Director of the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Shandong University, he is Deputy director of Office of Scientific Research and International Affairs, Cheeloo College of Medicine, and Deputy Minister of International Affairs Department of Shandong University. He is also the vice chairman of the Branch of Sectional and Imaging Anatomy of the Chinese Society for Anatomical Sciences, and executive vice president of Shandong Society for Anatomical Sciences. He has obtained several scientific research projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and provincial and ministerial level successively, and participated in over 10 NSFC and NIH projects.
As one of the main members, he has won the second prize of National Teaching Achievement Award and the special prize of Shandong Teaching Achievement, the second prize of Shandong Science and Technology Progress Award (the second prize), the prize of " Professor Li Jishuo Young Excellent Thesis Award" of the Chinese Society for Anatomical Sciences and the Qilu Outstanding Young Anatomist Award of the Second Shandong Society for Anatomical Sciences.
His research interests include sectional and imaging anatomy, neuroimaging, and computational medicine.
