Yaobin Wu graduated in 2017 from Xi'an Jiaotong University with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. From 2017 to 2018, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. In 2018, he joined the School of Basic Medical Sciences at Southern Medical University serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Anatomy. In 2023, as a Marie Curie Fellow of the European Union, he visited the Department of Physiological Anatomy Genetics at the University of Oxford, UK. His main research focus is on the application of soft biomaterials combined with biomanufacturing technologies in human organ-on-chips and regenerative medicine. In recent years, as a corresponding author, he has published over 30 papers in internationally renowned journals such as Science Advances, Advanced Functional Materials, ACS Nano, and Biomaterials, with more than 2,600 citations on Google Scholar and an H-index of 20. He serves as a committee member of the 3D Printing Technology Branch of the China Medicinal Biotechnology Association, and also as the secretary of the materials science group.
