Xuechen Zhu received his Ph.D. from Tsinghua University and has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at both Tsinghua University and Westlake University. In April 2023, he joined the Department of Human Anatomy and Embryology at the School of Basic Medicine, Peking University, as an associate research fellow and Assistant Professor. His main research focuses on: 1. Molecular mechanisms of oocyte maturation, polarity establishment, tissue differentiation, and neural induction during early embryonic development. 2. Construction of animal models for birth defect diseases and investigation of their pathogenesis. He has published a total of 19 SCI papers in journals including, Science (3 papers), Cell Research (4 papers), EMBO Reports, Proc Natl Acad Sci USA, Genomics, and is listed as first author/corresponding author (including co-first/corresponding authors) of 14 papers.
